Hello! My name is Amber Madden and I am currently a fourth year student majoring in psychology. I am very interested in how adversity affects children developmentally as well as how children and adults cope with traumatic experiences. After graduating from UCR I will be taking a year off to gain more clinical and research experience before pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology.


Hi! My name is Ana Marcelo and I graduated from UCR in June 2009 with a B.A. in Psychology/ Law and Society. I love kids - working with them, playing with them and learning about them! I am taking a year off from school in order to expand my research experience and gain clinical experience. I plan to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology and spend the rest of my life working with and learning about children.


Hello, my name is Carolina Quiroz. I graduated from UCR in June 2009 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in women's studies. I am really interested in observing how different forms of adversity affects one's development with an emphasis on gender and ethnicity. I plan on attending grad school and obtaining a Ph.D in clinical psychology in the near future. I am interested in working in the future with children and young adults.


Hi, my name is Chelsie Sampayan and I graduated from UCR in June 2009 with a major in psychology. I am interested in parent-child interaction, attachment, how children develop schemas of the world,and how they adapt in the midst of adversities. I am currently taking a year off from school so I can gain more research experience. I want to work towards obtaining a Ph.D so that I have the knowledge and skills to further the body of psychology, and most importantly to impact the lives of children in a positive way.


Hi my name is Christina Gutierrez. I graduated from UCR in June 2009 with a B.A. in Psychology. I am taking a year off to gain clinical experience before heading to graduate school to pursue a Masters in Social Work. I am especially interested in working with individuals suffering from PTSD and other related disorders.


Hi, I’m Cindy Dorado Ponce. I graduated from UCR in June 2009 with a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish Literature. I am taking a year off from school to get clinical experience. Afterwards, I plan on enrolling in a Clinical Psychology Ph.D program.


My name is Dorothy Beck and I am a fourth year, double majoring in psychology and Spanish Linguistics. I work part-time in a cell bio and neuroscience lab as a lab assistant and I also volunteer as a caseworker for a Child Abuse and Treatment Program (CHAT) in a mental health clinic for Family Service Association. I plan to attend graduate school to receive my Psy.D in clinical psychology to become a bilingual therapist and have an awesome career helping others!!

Hey there! My name is Emily Shinne. I am currently a 4th year undergraduate student here at UCR. I am a double-major in Psychology and Media and Cultural Studies and I am also working on getting a minor in Business. I have a variety of interests and enjoy getting experience wherever I can. In the future, I wish to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology.


Hi! My name is Erica Morales and I am a recent UCR graduate with a B.A. in Psychology. I plan on attending graduate school after taking a year or two off to gain clinical and research experience. I would like to obtain masters in social work and become a licensed clinical social worker.


Hi, my name is Jacqueline Coffey. I am majoring in Psychology and will be graduating in the fall of 2009. I really enjoy be involved in research and will continue to work in the lab once I graduate. I am also applying to graduate programs for clinical psychology and will be entering a program in the fall of 2010 if I am accepted.


Hi, my name is Jennifer Arias and I am currently a third year undergrad majoring in Psychology. After I graduate, I plan to get my PsyD in Clinical Psychology and work with children who have been abused and neglected.


Hi! My name is JessicaRose Zendejas and I am a 4th year psychology major. I am interested in the influence of attachment styles on maladaptive behavior. I currently work on the FMSS (Five Minute Speech Sample) & on the ChiRRP study. After receiving my B.A., I plan to apply to graduate school to purse a Master of Arts in Counseling with a specialization in marriage, family, & child counseling or a specialization in counseling children & Adolescents.


Hello! My name is Kelsie Brenner and I am a second year psychology major at UC Riverside. After receiving my bachelors degree I plan on pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology and working with adolescents. I'm also interested in developmental psychology and how different parenting styles influence their children later in life.


Hi, my name is Margo Gregor. I'm a 5th year psychology major/ sociology minor. I am currently working on a senior honors thesis in the AD lab on Internet addiction in adolescents. I work part time for UCR housing, and I am currently applying to counseling psychology programs for Fall of 2010.


Hello! My name is Rowell Concepcion, and I recently graduated with a double-major in psychology and public policy. I enjoy learning about both the psychology of law as well as how children are affected by all kinds of adversity. I am currently attending the Fashion Institute of Merchandising and Design (FIDM), yet remain involved with the lab.


Hi! I'm Vanessa Ma, and I am a fourth year undergraduate majoring in Psychology and minoring in Business Administration. After I earn my bachelor's degree, I plan to take a year off to gain clinical experience. I am looking forward to working towards a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology in order to help individuals or couples to achieve subjective well-being and happiness.

 


Hi, my name is Robyn Roberts.  I am currently a second year, double majoring in psychology and creative writing. After I graduate, I plan to attend grad school to obtain a Ph.D in counseling psychology.


Hi! My name is Victoria Rosales, but I prefer Vicky. I am a 3rd year psychology major, dance minor student. I work part-time for UCR Dining Services. I love kids and everything about them. Although I want to learn everything about children, I am interested in hoe positive and negative events shape children and influence their self-efficacy. After obtaining my bachelors in psychology, I plan to go to graduate school and get my PhD in clinical and personality psychology.
